Y’ALL:
Home for a few days.
Recovering from my tour.
Had a great time crossing the country and back with The Downtown Rumblers.
A bunch of great shows and fun times.
Highlights include New York, 2 nights in Chicago, Portland and Seattle and three nights in Austin TX.
A killer room in Hudson NY and playing the legendary Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Hollywood.
WOW.
About to leave for DBT Fall Tour through the rustbelt / swing states.
Kicking off in my once upon a hometown of Memphis at The New Daisy (where I briefly worked in 1991).
Lexington, Bloomington, Detroit, Cleveland, Pittsburgh and ending up with two night stand at the beautiful National Theatre in Richmond VA.
If last weekend’s DBT show is any indication, you’re in for it, as we have never sounded better.
Immediately after that I leave for my solo European / UK Tour including a batch of songwriter showcase dates with Craig Finn (The Hold Steady) and Will Johnson (Centro-matic) and a few dates opening solo for our friend Alabama Shakes.
This is my first time to ever tour Europe solo and I am very excited.
We have also just recently announced three more shows with The Downtown Rumblers (Athens GA at The Fabulous 40 Watt Club and two
nights at The High Watt in Nashville.
These could be the last shows with the exact lineup we had on this past tour, as Page Campbell lives in Madison WI and is about to release her own great album (Dreamboat – Eclipsing coming soon and wonderful).
I can’t stress enough how great they have all sounded playing these songs.
Again, I want to thank everyone for all of the wonderful support of my tour and album as well as everyone’s constant support of all things DBT.
It’s great to be alive.
See you at The Rock Show.
